2001 The Takeda Foundation Event Calendar

April 1
The Takeda Foundation was established under the jurisdiction of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).


April 3
Legal registration as a foundation was completed.


April 5

June 7
The first Takeda Foundation Board & Council Meeting was held.


June 7
The Takeda Foundation held a reception party to celebrate the establishment of the foundation. The reception was held at the Tokyo Kaikan. Approximately 200 guests from academia and industry, as well as government officials and foreign diplomats participated in this event.


July 7
Lectures were held at the Koyu Kaikan in Tokyo. The theme of the lectures was 'The R&D Management Model in the Borderless Era.' Lecturers included Dr. Yoshio Nishi, Senior Vice President of Texas Instruments Inc., who is a councilor of the Foundation, and Dr. Ken-ichi Arai, Dean of the Institute of Medical Science, University Tokyo, who is a member of the Foundation Board. Dr. Hideto Nakajima, who is Associate Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and is an advisor to the Foundation, chaired the seminar.


September 4
The second Takeda Foundation Board & Council Meeting was held.


December 3-4
The Takeda Award Forum and the Takeda Award Ceremony 2001, which include a welcome reception, cocktails, and dinner, took place at the ANA Hotel Tokyo.
