Good afternoon everyone, I am Hirohi Amano. When I first heard that I had been selected for the Takeda Award, to tell the truth, I couldn't understand at all what had happened. Why I was selected as an awardee? Why had the Foundation been so kind as to select me? Even now I still have such questions, and can only half believe my being awarded this prize. I now realize that there must be many young and unknown people who are addressing big projects in this country. I would like to really thank the Takeda Foundation, not only for awarding me, but also for inspiring such young people.
