Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, my name is Shuji Nakamura. I was moved very much by Dr. Takeda's speech a little while ago, in which he gave his impression of my book, entitled "Wild Dream." I have written another book under the title of "Breakthrough of Wrath." The origins of my work on blue light emitting diodes are a "Wild Dream" and the "Breakthrough of Wrath". I didn't think I would succeed at developing blue light emitting diodes, but just by giving it a try with wrath and a wild dream I happened to succeed. I am very honored to receive this award. If young engineers and researchers know there is such a prestigious award as the Takeda Award, I think they will work with greater and greater motivation. I hope that more awards such as the Takeda Award are established, and continue long into the future. Thank you very much.
